Roseau: The Travel+Leisure Magazine has ranked the Commonwealth of Dominica as one of the leading island destinations. As per the luxury magazine survey, Dominica stood at the eighth position among the best 25 island nations across the world.
The World’s Best Awards Travel+Leisure surveys the readers, collecting travellers’ opinions and experiences of travelling to renowned cities, islands, cruise ships, spas and airlines. The feedback of the travellers is based on various aspects like the activities and sights, landscapes and natural attractions, the beaches, cuisines and delicacies, cultural friendliness and overall experience.
From the perspective of Travel+Leisure readers, the islands they termed the best actually provided them with much more than aquamarine waters, dramatic coastlines and elegant beaches.
It is attributed to lush green forests, striking black-sand beaches and natural hot springs that the ‘Nature Isle of the Caribbean’- Dominica secured the eighth rank in the survey.
Dominica, securing 91 points, had surpassed 17 other island nations.

In the most recent CBI Index Report, a rating system designed to measure the performance and appeal of global citizenship by investment (CBI) programmes across a diverse range of indicators, Dominica secured the number one spot for the sixth consecutive year, beating 11 other nations with active citizenship by investment programmes.
