Tbilisi: The firefighter of emergency management services have made efforts to extinguish the fire that broke out in the Mtatsminda region of the country. The services of the helicopters were also availed for timely response to the fire incident.
It is to be specifically mentioned that after receiving the information regarding the incident, firefighters from the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs immediately responded to the fire on the slopes of Mtatsminda and started extinguishing it.
Moreover, fire rescuers were mobilized from all four sides of the fire center to effectively curb the fire. The danger of the fire spreading was ended and it was extinguished. Although the bad weather conditions hindered the rescue operation the firefighter team was successful in curtailing the fire with their full dedication.
However due to the same bad weather conditions two border police helicopters were also involved in the fire extinguishing process at the same time. The representative of the department of fire-rescuers reached the spot within a short time and equipped with special equipment and drones, extinguished the fire spreading on dry grass and thornbard.
According to the reports received so far there has been no report of any causality anywhere. Moreover no one was injured as a result of the incident. It is worth noting that the firefighters went deep inside the areas by putting their lives at risk which is a clear reflection of their dedication to duty, especially as they worked hard to protect the country’s natural resources.
The helicopter involved in the process carries the gallon of water to sprinkle in fire-affected areas. Forest fire incidents are rising in countries across the globe. The reason behind this is the rising global temperature. Meanwhile the emergency management service shared information regarding the successful operation on the official Facebook page.
Social media users appreciated the work of the management services members. One Facebook user, No Mazepa, commented that “you are heroes, selfless heroes.” Many other social media users expressed similar views lauding the commendable job of the firefighters.
