Maka Botchorishvili, the foreign Minister of Georgia visited Malta and attended OSCE Ministerial conference there. On the sidelines of summit she also met  her counterpart from Finland, Austria, Slovakia, Azerbaijan and Armenia.
It is to be noted that although information about these bilateral meeting has been shared by foreign ministry of Georgia but  lacks details of topics which were discussed by Georgian foreign minister in bilateral meetings.
She met Austrian federal minister for European and international affairs namely Alexander Schallenberg, on this occasion both of them have discussed past close and friendly relation and also discuss measures for improving bilateral relation in future also.
The integration of Georgia in European Union also found mention in meeting where Austrian minister extend full support for Georgia integration into European Union as well.
Georgian minister also expressed her gratitude for Austria for unconditional support of Georgia for integration into European Union as well. She also thanked Austria for its strong support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The other issues both discusses includes regional security environment, situation in Georgia’s occupied territories. On other hand Alexander Schallenberg stressed upon ongoing protests in Georgia. He urged Georgian minister to take care of human rights of protesters as well.
Similarly while meeting with minister of foreign affairs of Finland, Elina Valtonen she congratulated Finland for upcoming chairmanship of OSCE. Here also both discuss multiple issues of bilateral importance.
In addition, Georgian Minster also appraised Finnish counterpart about   the assessment of the election process by international observers.
In response Finland minister expressed serious concern of using excessive force to disperse peaceful protesters. Moreover, Finland’s minister demanded impartial probe of election complaint to restore public faith in government.
At the 31st OSCE meeting Georgia raises issues of Russia’s occupation of Georgia and said this will pose serious threat to regional and international peace and stability. Botchorishvili while speaking further underlined need of ensure protection of human rights in Russian occupied territories such as Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region.
She said it is shocking to see Russian fail to follow provisions of 2008 EU-brokered ceasefire agreement. Agreement required international security and monitoring mechanism in Russian occupied regions , she also demanded that we need to have a  consolidated policy of peaceful  settlement for occupied territory.
