Gardabani: The administration of Gardabani City Hall Council organized a successful sports event to educate the public about healthy lifestyles. The event having theme “Sports for Healthy Lifestyle,” was held at the central park of Gardabani.
The Council of Gender Equality organized the event “Sports for a Healthy Lifestyle.” Giorgi Dokhturishvili the state trustee of Kvemo Kartli, attended this. Many other representatives of local government and officials also attended the event.
Some prominent figures present here included the Mayor of Gardabani Municipality Davit Kargareteli, the Majority Deputy of Gardabani and Marneuli in the Parliament of Georgia Zaur Dargali and members of the ten communities of Rustavi and Gardabani.
The “Sports for healthy lifestyle” was also attended by the Majority deputy in the Parliament of Georgia Irakli Shatakishvili and the Chairman of the Gardabani Municipality Council Mikheil Gedekhauri.
The goal of “Sports for a Healthy Life as mentioned above was to promote a healthy lifestyle and sports among young people. Moreover within its framework Varlam Liparteliani and many other successful athletes from Kvemo Kartli met with young people. During their interaction with young people they shared their experiences and answered their questions as well.
The key figure of the event added “Such kind of events are very important because communicating with young people, sharing experiences with them will help to enhance the interest of the next generation in sports and will also help to form more successful athletes.”
The event was attended by the trustee, his deputy, Nika Kobakhidze and other local government representatives and invited guests who appreciated the huge gathering of youth here.
A large number of young boys and girls were present on this occasion. They listened carefully to the views of key speakers. Some also had the opportunity to share their ideas and ask questions to Georgian athletes.
In the end the Government officials termed the event very successful. They assured that in the future more such initiatives will be taken in this direction.
