Georgia: The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Mariam Kvrivishvili, met with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Gevork Papoyan, who is in the framework of the official visit of the delegation of the Armenian President to Georgia.
The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia shared the glimpses of the meeting on its official Facebook Page on November 19, 2025, Wednesday. The Ministry also shared a small note about the meeting along with its glimpses.
The meeting emphasized the importance of the official visit of the Armenian President for further development of Georgia-Armenian relations, during which meetings were held both in bilateral and expanded format.
Mariam Kvrivishvili drew attention to the meeting of the presidents of the two countries, during which the sides discussed a wide range of relations between Georgia and Armenia, including trade-economic relations.
At the meeting with the Armenian Minister of Economy, we talked about how important peace in the region is for the two countries to continue sustainable and stable economic development.” We also discussed ongoing projects, as well as new initiatives, which will further strengthen trade-economic relations between Georgia and Armenia. Special emphasis was placed on transport, logistics, bilateral trade, tourism, and strengthening of cooperation in the spheres of investments,” Mariam Kvrivishvili noted.
At the meeting, the ministers also discussed the cooperation between Georgia and Armenia in the transport and logistics sectors in both regional and bilateral formats.
“I am sure that as a result of the official visit of the President of Armenia, based on the strategic cooperation between the countries, we will ensure joint efforts to deepen trade-economic ties and increase economic activities between Georgia and Armenia,” said the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Tamar Ioseliani and Director General of Georgian Railways Lasha Abashidze.
