Georgia celebrated the International Olympic Day with large-scale sports activities inBatumi on June 23, 2025, Monday. Notably, June 23 is International Olympic Day, which has been celebrated since 1948, on the date of the International Olympic Committee’s founding.
Millions of citizens from more than 200 countries around the world take part in mass events, which are sponsored by the International Olympic Committee. In Georgia, since 1994, traditionally, Olympic events dedicated to this day are held.
The event was organized by the National Olympic Committee of Georgia and SEOK Adjara Regional Organization, with the support of the Ministry of Sport of Georgia, the Ministry of Education and Sports of Adjara, the City Hall of Batumi, Sports Organizations of Adjara.

Sports activities will start from 10:00 in the area of Sector 15-16 of Batumi Seaside Park, in the following categories: sand volleyball, sand wrestling, sand football, and sand rugby.
Competitions in table tennis will be held in Old Boulevard, on Lake Nuri – canoe, chess – in Batumi Boulevard “Nona’s Club“, and karate players will compete in the area near the Alphabet Tower.
At 11:30 a.m. on the territory of Sector 15-16 of Batumi Seaside Park (near the sand species sports fields), the cycling race will start, and at midnight – Mass Olympic race. Both runs (distance: 2-2.5 km) will be finished at the Alphabet Tower.
Registration of participants in the Olympic race and bicycle race will start at 10:00. Olympic, world, and European champion-prize winners, as well as athletes from the Adjara region will participate in the event.
Furthermore, the winners of the Olympic Run and various sports activities will be awarded International Olympic Committee certificates, special T-shirts, and various memorable gifts from the National Olympic Committee of Georgia.
