Georgia: Within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Defense of Georgia and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, a new executive master’s program is designed.
Deputy Minister of Defense Grigol Giorga signed an agreement between the Ministry of Defense Institutional Rebuilding School (DIBS) and the Faculty of Economics and Business of the Tbilisi State University on the implementation of the Master’s Program.
The agreement was signed by Tea Nikolashvili, the director of the School of Defense Institutional Construction (DIBS) and the Rector of the State University, Giorgi Sharvashidze.
The master’s program is designed for heads of public service employed in security agencies in the country. Also, the “Highest Program of Defense and Security” of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia will be integrated into the master’s program, which is defined for the military ranks of the General, Colonel and Vice-Colonel of the Defense Agency.
Civilians employed in state security agencies will also have the opportunity to pass the program.
The master’s program is for one year, and its implementation will start in September 2023. The Graduates will be awarded the academic qualification of Master of Business Administration in Public Administration.
The new tripartite memorandum is another opportunity for senior military and civilian executives at the Ministry of Defense to obtain higher academic degrees.
