Georgia: The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Inga Pkhaladze, took part in a meeting with representatives of the economy and business sector held on November 3, 2025.
The event was organized by the Action Society “Georgian State Electricity System“, and representatives of the private and public sectors attended.
The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia shared the glimpses of the meeting on its official Facebook Page. The Georgian Ministry also shared some information about the meeting along with its glimpses.
According to the information shared by the Ministry, it should be noted that Inga Pkhaladze addressed the participants with a welcome speech. In the welcoming speech, the Deputy Minister spoke about the possibilities and challenges of Georgia’s energy sector.
“We have ambitious plans for Georgia’s energy system to be a bridge connecting eastern and western regions.” Therefore, our goal is to develop the energy growth of the country in the right direction, – said Inga Pkhaladze.
The Deputy Minister paid special attention to the importance of cooperation between the public and business sectors. According to him, the set goal can only be achieved through the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development as a policy implementing agency, and the close cooperation of the private sector.
“It will be very important to discuss together the results achieved by our cooperation so far and to decide together the direction we will choose to take precise steps in the future,” said Inga Pkhaladze.
During the event, presentations and panel discussions were held to discuss the current state of the energy sector, reforms in the field, prospects for attracting investments, and strategic directions for energy system development.
During the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Georgian state electricity system and companies – Mitas Energy, Store Hess, Kavkasenergo, and Energon. Also, the Georgian State Electricity System Advisory Council was formed, which is mainly composed of representatives of energy companies.
