The Center for Environmental Information and Education of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection has announced the “Green Award” competition. This has been introduced to reward the best educator/methodist and primary level (1-6 grade) teacher of the academic year throughout Georgia.
It is to be specifically mentioned that the ministry has encouraged all eligible to Participate in the “Green Award” competition. The teacher of primary level and kindergarten educators/methodists who are currently employed in educational institutions or the learning process carrying out environmental and agrarian topics in both formal and informal education and carrying out activities from the relevant auxiliary textbooks are eligible to participate as well.
It is to be added that the main goal of the competition is to increase the motivation of teachers to teach environmental and agrarian issues and to allow them to share the best experience.
As per the available information the deadline for receiving applications is March 20, 2024 whereas the winner will be announced on World Environment Day June 5, 2024
Similarly a Special commission will announce the best ten and the winning teacher and then educator/methodist will be given the “Green Award”.Moreover the deadline for applying is March 2024. The competition will be held in two stages. At stage one the selection of the application will be conducted. On the other hand at the second stage, the presentation of the activities and projects will be conducted also.
The officials of the competition stated that a special committee will be established. This committee will be select the ten best winners based on the activities and other performances of the winner in two stages.
The form to participate in the competition can be filed electronically. The Candidates can also attach photos or videos of their activities as proof along with their application. The people also appreciate the decision of the center for this event. According to them this will make the public aware of the environmental issues.
