Tbilisi: Maka Bochorishvili the Chairman of the European Integration Committee met with students of various universities. She discusses the relationship between Georgia and the European Union in the future as well.
It is to be specifically mentioned that the said Maka Bochorishvili also spoke about the dynamics of Georgia-EU(European Union) relations. At the same time she also spoke about the historical significance and necessity of the decision of the European Council of December 14, 2023, for Georgia and the new prospects created by granting the candidate status. She also expressed hopes that the full-fledged membership will make Georgia more progressive and stable in the coming years.
On the other hand the chairman of the European Integration Committee reviewed the history of Georgia-EU(European Union)relations and also talked about the reforms implemented in the country. She explains the ongoing projects on the path of integration into the European Union.
According to her the steps taken to fulfill the recommendations of the European Commission and the existing challenges were also disccsed. Similarly Maka Bochorishvili drew attention to the activities of the European Integration Committee and the role of the Parliament of Georgia in the EU integration process and expected hopes.
During the meeting with the University students, the discussion touched on the EU(European Union)enlargement policy and the prospects of joining the EU.The Chairman of the European Integration Committee, within the framework of the discussion, answered the questions asked by students and expressed her readiness for future meetings.
The University students also expressed hope that these meetings are very fruitful for the information. They also thanked the Maka Bochorishvili for hosting the students and listening to their problems as well.
According to her she is always committed to providing world-class exposure to University students. Moreover the students are the assets of the country and the central government provides the maximum financial aid for this purpose.
