Giorgi Amilakhvari the Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth got acquainted with the rehabilitation work of Rustavi 7th public school. He was accompanied by the State Commissioner in the Lower Kartli region Giorgi Dokhturishvili , the Mayor of Rustavi Nino Latsabidze and members of the Parliament of Georgia.
According to the minister the government of Georgia is committed to providing world-class education infrastructure to the student community. He also noted that school construction and complete rehabilitation projects are actively underway all over the country.
He further said that improving school infrastructure is one of the Ministry’s top priorities, as this is a key prerequisite for increasing access to quality public education.
It should be added that the SP Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency is carrying out the complete rehabilitation of Rustavi 7th public school building. Moreover the rehabilitation works which cost 5 million 600 thousand GEL comply with world-class building standards and use ecologically clean materials per European standards.
As per the inforamtion shared by the education department officials the newly rehabilitated school will have learning spaces, natural and computer laboratories, a gym, a library, a canteen, a resource room, and a doctor’s office, at the same time the general education facility will be fully adapted to accommodate people with disabilities as it has equiped with an elevator, sanitary nets, and a ramp. The school will be fully equipped with all the relevant learning resources and inventory.
It is also noteworthy that after completing the school infrastructure project, students will be able to pursue higher studies without any problem. Similarly at the end of 2024 more than 1000 students of Rustavi 7th Public School will continue their studies in a school equipped with modern educational infrastructure.
The minister and another member of the visiting delegation also inspected the site plans of the project. The painting work is also being carried out in full swing by the construction workers.
