Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia along with Shalva Papuashvili, speaker of Parliament invited all stakeholder for table talk about decision of Government. This invitation from Prime Minister came in wake of ongoing protests in capital city Tbilisi.
The protestors are blaming ruling party of Georgia “Georgia Dream” for suspension of talks about Georgia’s integration into European Union. According to protesters this will disturb bilateral relation of Georgia with many other countries especially which are part of European Union.
While inviting public and other stakeholders Prime Minister said that these unnecessary protests will not serve any purpose when government itself is ready to have talk with these protesting people. The PM and Speaker gave invitation to protesters yesterday and urged them to find a peacefully solution of problem.
Speaking further about this move he said that this is not first time when we are extending our invitation to protesters, rather our government is always ready to hold talks with protesters on every and each issue.
While sharing more details about their readiness to hold talks with Georgian people both said that we have asked all protester multiple times to come forward to find a peaceful solution in this regard as well.
Moreover, we have already conveyed this message to them that our teams who have made such stament about suspension of Georgia’s EU talks are also ready to discuss all aspect of this decision taken by government as well.
It is worth to mention that that the former politicians Mikheil (Papuna) Janelidze, former Foreign Minister as well as former defence minister of Georgia, Tinatin Khidasheli have already expressed interest in engaging in such a public discussion with all the stakeholders also.
This is also to be added that, PM openly said that anyone can come forward to find a peaceful solution of this problem. Moreover, we are ready not only to discuss the exiting issue but also the event which had happened in past years. This statement of Prime Minister is very significant. Political observers said that this will help both sides in future as well.
