Irakli Kobakhidze the Prime Minister of Georgia congratulated the members of the armed forces and citizens on Army Day. This year Georgia is celebrating its 33rd army with nationwide events.
PM Irakli Kobakhidze while sharing his views on the significance of the day stated that “Georgian armed forces have become 33 years old today. I like to Congratulate to all on this special day. We every year celebrate this day with special pride; this day belongs to you all citizens, to every brave and professional military man who protects our country’s independence, peace, and liberty round the clock.”
I also attended the event today held at the Vaziani military base. At the military station, I have added that the army is that big family that belongs to each citizen of Georgia. At the same time working for the welfare of the soldiers, and rewarding their efforts is one of the main priorities of the government.
PM further added we are feeling proud of our army which has been an integral part of our national identity since its establishment. I am very happy to see that our defense forces with even greater enthusiasm, high readiness level, and motivation, successfully protecting the territory of Georgia. At the military base he placed wreaths on the martyrs memorial. There was an impressive military parade by the members of the national armed forces. The air shows of the air forces impressed everyone present on this occasion. The mayor of the Tbilisi city hall was also present along with the Georgian Prime Minister.
