The National Agency for Military Enlistment and Recruiting of the Republic of Georgia has received light and off-road vehicles. The handing over vehicle ceremony was attended by the Georgian defense minister and many other dignitaries.
The Deputy Minister of Defense of Georgia, Grigol Giorgadze, along with the Deputy Commander of the Defense Forces, Major General Zaza Chkhaidze, attended the ceremony of handing over vehicles at the 4th Infantry Brigade training ground in Vaziani. The armed forces officials inspected the cars and acquainted themselves with their technical capabilities.
According to the information received from military resources the agency received 96 units of vehicles in total. The vehicles belong to different companies including SKODA OCTAVIA and MITSUBISHI L200. The new vehicles will contribute to the development of the National Agency for Military Enlistment and Recruiting capabilities increasing mobility and improving the logistics component.
The deputies of the Minister of Defense and the Commander of the Defense Forces also met with the heads of the regional centers and municipal departments of the Agency. They during this important meeting also focused on the important role of the agency and thanked the employees and wished them success.
The National Agency for Military Conscription and Recruitment a legal entity of public law within the Ministry of Defense system was established by the Georgia government to recruit citizens for professional military service and conscripts in the national military service. The agency started functioning in January of this year and cooperates with various state agencies.
Moreover the agency is offering citizens the opportunity to receive high-quality services in 8 regional centers and 81 municipal departments with simplified procedures. From 2025, the National Military Service of conscripts will be completely subordinated to the Ministry of Defence for better functions.
The handing-over ceremony was also attended by the members of the defense forces who lauds the decision of the government to add the extra strength to the existing capacity of the armed forces as well.
