Georgia: Georgian Foreign Ministry said that Andriy Kasyanov, the Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine, was summoned to the Ministry in connection with the information spread by the Ukrainian intelligence.

According to them, Kasyanov was asked to provide relevant factual explanations and timely details of the information spread by the intelligence service.

“During the meeting, Deputy Minister Teimuraz Janjalia once again expressed the dissatisfaction of the Georgian side with the allegations of similar content and noted that the dissemination of information based on such false facts damages the partnership between the two countries namely Georgia and Ukraine.

Moreover, the Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine was asked to provide timely factual explanations and evidence on the information provided by the Intelligence Service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, especially given that the Ukrainian side also failed to present evidence of a previous allegation of similar content to Ukrainian Defense Intelligence (April 5).

It is noteworthy that the Ukrainian diplomat said during the meeting of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that he did not have an appropriate answer to the statement issued by the Ukrainian intelligence service at this stage and noted that the relevant message would be transmitted to the capital.

Georgia’s unwavering support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people was reaffirmed at the meeting,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

According to the Main Intelligence Division of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine , Russia is trying to circumvent the sanctions through other countries, including Georgia.

Apart from this, Moscow is also in talks with Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan on re-export of Russian products to the international market.

Additionally, it is planned to produce Russian products under the auspices of Georgian, Armenian and Azerbaijani products and export them to third countries.
