Georgia: Applications for ‘State Program for Reintegration Assistance’ now being accepted

Tbilisi: The Agency for Providing IDPs, Eco-Migrants and Livelihood Sources has started accepting applications within the framework of the state program of reintegration assistance for returning migrants to Georgia. The goal of the program is to support the reintegration process of Georgian citizens returning from emigration.

Tbilisi: The Agency for Providing IDPs, Eco-Migrants and Livelihood Sources has started accepting applications within the framework of the state program of reintegration assistance for returning migrants to Georgia. The goal of the program is to support the reintegration process of Georgian citizens returning from emigration.

As the Agency updated, at this stage, about 100 projects will be financed in order to create a steady source of income and promote employment as well as opportunities for self-employment under the state program for reintegration assistance.

During the year, applications are announced in two stages, and in total, the grant will be given to up to 200 migrants. Also, the returned migrants will get to choose the necessary inventory, equipment and tools that they might require for starting or expanding their own businesses.

The citizens of Georgia (or stateless persons with the right to live permanently in Georgia) can participate in the program if they have been abroad illegally for more than a year, or have applied for asylum, or have benefited from asylum and returned to their homeland within the last 12 months.

Applications will be accepted in the Agency and its territorial divisions until February 24:

  • Tbilisi, Tamarashvili st. N15a;
  • Gori, Samebi st. N1;
  • Rustavi, Kostava st. N20;
  • Kutaisi, Abashidze Ave. N27;
  • Zugdidi, Agmashenebeli st. N106.

The application can also be sent to the Agency’s e-mail, which is – info@idp.gov.ge. It must be noted that the applications must necessarily be sent in the form of a PDF or Word document only.
