On Thursday 28th of December 2023 meeting of the Urban Planning and Agriculture Commission held in the Tbilisi city council. This significant meeting of the Urban Planning and Agriculture Commission was led by Revaz Sokhadze.
During the meeting Levan Zhorzholiani, Chairman of the Council of Legal Issues and Human Rights Protection also addressed the attendees. He also presented measures to promote the unfinished construction at several addresses in different parts of Tbilisi. He said that more initiative will be taken to complete the construction process in a short span of time.
Today the deputies agreed on the issue of rehabilitation/replacement of accidental buildings in the Cultural Heritage Protection Zone and the issue of measures to replace a number of accidental buildings located in the Third Massif of Varketili were also discussed in detail, based on the competitive selection of real estate owned by the municipality, direct disposal of privatisation interest They discussed the generation of expression declaration as well.
At the meeting of the Urban Planning and Agriculture Commission amendments were made to the respective provisions of the City Council on “Approval of the Rules for Regulating the Use and Development of the Tbilisi Municipality Territories” and “Approbation of the General Plan for Land Use of the Capital City”.
 At the same time By the decision of the commission, changes have been made in the municipality of Tbilisi to introduce a collector to clean the inhabited area, payment instructions and cleaning, waste management, selection of an operator and approval of the rule for disposal of waste on the property of the municipality. Members of the City Council also discussed about the use of a specific form of organisation of cleaning and waste management services of the Tbilisi Municipality inhabited territory.
After discussing these issues, the members of the Commission approved the zonal changes and the draft plans for the regulation of dissolution at various addresses. All the members of the commission also agreed that in the new year, more budget will be allocated to provide better facilities to all the residents of the localities.
