The application for competition at the National Center of Cinematography of Georgia must be submitted by a producer who is a legal entity created/founded according to Georgian legislation or an entrepreneur with experience in filmmaking or the audiovisual field and significant management experience.

According to the debates, the contestant should not have an unfulfilled important obligation to the Georgian National Film Center (GNFC) and should not be registered in the duty register. The contestant can only imagine one film project in this competition. Competition film projects can be full-length and short-length Georgian fiction, documentary or animation, as Georgian-foreign joint production with significant Georgian creative contributions.

Applications will be accepted for funding the completion of a film, most of which has been shot, regardless of whether the National Cinema Center financed the project in the past. The original material for full-length/short-length fiction, documentary, and animation films shall be produced in the following format: Documentary – no less than Full HD; Action – no less than 2K; Animation – no less than 2 K.

Preference will be given to the project whose shooting is at least 80% completed. A film project must have received private or state funding to participate in the competition. The National Cinema Center will finance at least two and a maximum of eight projects with a budget determined by competitive conditions.

Competition projects will be received in material form from March 26 to April 8, 2024, at the National Cinema Center, address: Tbilisi, Sanapiro Street No4 or electronically, at the official email of the National Cinema Center – documents@gnfc.ge. Contestants may attend consultations, which will take place by prior agreement, at the National Cinema Center’s administrative building or via telephone.

The contestant is officially informed about the results of the competition within three working days of the final decision.
