Georgia: The Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia honors Giorgi (Gogi) Tsabadze’s greatest contribution to the development of Georgian culture and musical art.
100 years have passed since the birth of famous Georgian composer, Georgian People’s Artist, Giorgi (Gogi) Tsabadze.
Giorgi (Gogi) Tsabadze mastered compositional art at the state conservatory named after Vano Sarajishvili in Tbilisi. Bakhundariani and I, under the leadership of Tuskia.

Surmava), “Kurka’s Wedding” (m. According to Javakhishvili; Libretto’s author M. Tarknashvili), “Yetim Gurji” (Libretto’s author M. Tarknashvili), “The wonderful trio” (Libretto’s author N. It’s a bit of a bitch). “Wonderful Three” is the first Georgian operetta, which was put outside Georgia.
Giorgi Tsabadze created musicals: “My crazy brother” (Libretto’s author E. Shatunovski), “I love my street” (Libretto’s author L. Chubabria), “Italian novel” (Libretto’s author E. Shatunowski) and others.
Urban stage songs, including “Our Tbilisi-City,” “Little Ballad,” “Snowflake,” “Pray Wherever You Want,” “White Dove,” “My Georgia is Here,” “Mefaitone,” “Tiny Paradise,” “Love is flying.” Others brought the composer special love and recognition from Georgian listeners. He cooperated with several famous Georgian Estrade representatives.
Giorgi Tsabadze created music for the first Georgian film musical, “Melodies of Veri District” (directed by G. Shengelaya), and for famous movies, “Funny Novel” (directed by L. Khotivari), “Tamar-woman Kidnapped” (directed by L. Gordeladze), and others.
Giorgi Tsabadze was an honorary citizen of Tbilisi and a meritorious artist. He was awarded the Orders of Friendship of People and the Badge of Honor. Streets in Tbilisi, Gora, and Telavi are named after him.
For information: With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia, a gala concert dedicated to Giorgi (Gogi) Tsabadze’s 100th anniversary will be held on September 18 at the State Concert Hall of Tbilisi. The music created by Giorgi (Gogi) Tsabadze for theater and cinema will be played.
The audience will see pieces and musical numbers from the most beloved performances and movies on the Tbilisi State Concert Hall stage. Also, several of Giorgi Tsabadze’s hits will be played. David Mazanashvili, the artistic and musical director of the project, is the author of the script, and Nikoloz Tsulukidze is the presenter.
