Georgia: Deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia Tengiz Nasaridze attended the conference on the start of a new phase of implementation of the project “Modernization of vocational education system in Georgia’s Agriculture“.
The aim of the project “Modernization of Vocational Education System in Georgia’s Agriculture” is to promote the improvement of the quality of agricultural extension services, which means to increase access to information on innovative and climate-conscious technologies and implementation of digital extension services,
Conference on the start of the new phase of project implementation were held by Deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia Tengiz Nasaridze, Minister of Agriculture of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Zaza Shavadze, UN Development Programme “Modernization of Vocational Education and Extension in Georgia’s Agriculture” Manager Elene Tshakaya and Teimuraz, the project coordinator of the Veitsaria Cooperation Office Khomerik was in attendance.
During the conference, a memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara and the Agency for Rural Development. Cooperation between agencies envisages to share the experience of relevant services of the Rural Development Agency in order to strengthen extension services for farmers living in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.
The memorandum was signed by David Tsitlidze, Director of the Agency for Rural Development and Zaza Shavadze, Minister of Agriculture of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.
