The Members of the High Council of Adjara – Friedon Putkaradze and Minur Paksadze attended the gala concert of the International Folklore Festival of Georgian Culture – “Ourseburebi” in the city of Bursa, Republic of Turkey.
Along with the members of the High Council of Adjara, the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic – Zurab Pataradze and other members of the Georgian delegation were also present.
The Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara shared glimpses of the gala concert on its official Facebook Page on July 5, 2026, Sunday. A small note about the concert event was also shared along with its glimpses.
The traditional festival, which lasts several days, is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of Anzor Erkomaishvili, the greatest winner of Georgian folklore and distinguished artist.
According to a small note shared by the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, the Folklore festival “Ourseburebi” was held for the first time in 2001, and it hasn’t lost popularity for years.
The festival, which is organized by the Federation of Caucasian-Georgian Associations of Marmara, promotes the popularization of folklore traditions of Georgians living in Turkey, preservation of the Georgian language, culture, identity, and strengthening connections with historical roots, and it is attended annually by representatives of two neighboring, friendly countries.
Adjara State Ensemble “Arsiani“, Batumi State Choreographic Ensemble “Batumi”, folklore ensemble “Rirashi” and choreographic ensemble “Oureburebi” participated in the gala concert.
Attending the gala concert and festival events were: Minister of Culture of Adjara – Eliso Bolkvadze, Member of Parliament of Georgia – Gia Chkonia, Ambassador of Emergency and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Turkey – Archil Kalandia, members of the legislative and executive authorities of Adjara and Abkhazia, and representatives of the Georgian Association of Marmara Caucasus.
