Turkey: The Minister of Health, c, visited Turkey on November 15, 2024, to attend the Medical World Congress. Within the framework of the Medical World Congress, he met Kemal Memisoglu, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Turkey.

After attending the World Congress, the Georgian health minister hosted a meeting with Kemal Memisoglu, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Turkey. This meeting will strengthen the cooperation between the two countries regarding health and help boost their international relations.
During the meeting, Georgia and Turkey discussed ongoing joint projects and cooperation in health care. Ministers also discussed the effective management of health disasters and crises, preventive strategies, and future plans in this direction.
According to Mikheil Sarjveladze, the meeting’s goal was to deepen the relationship and cooperation between the two countries in health care.
Merab Asanidze, deputy head of the Department of Strategic Development and Analytics, also attended the meeting.
The Medical World Congress in Turkey has been held since 2014. This year, the central theme of the 10th-anniversary session is “Health care system during disasters and the future of health care.” Last year, the Turkish Medical World Congress was held from October 19 to 22, 2023, in Istanbul.
Turkish Medical World Congress combines panel discussions, bilateral meetings, and speeches. During the event, leaders of health authorities from different countries, World Health Organization representatives, and experts will discuss the management of health disasters and crises, as well as prevention and plans in this area.
