Georgia: The Georgian Olympic Museum showcased a presentation of a book by an honored sports journalist Tamar Balavadze – “History of One Champion Woman” on March 6, 2025, Thursday.

According to the information shared by the Georgian National Olympic Committee, it should be noted that the book was published with the support of the National Olympic Committee of Georgia and the Olympic Solidarity Program funding of the International Olympic Committee.
It is also noteworthy that this book is dedicated to Georgian Olympic champion and prize winner, as well as women with world and European medalists, the book details both their biographical records and important achievements of their sporting career. In the book, a total of 23 drugs were united about the most successful women athletes in Olympic sports.
The President of SEOC, Leri Khabelov opened the event with a welcome speech. In his speech, he appreciated Tamar Balavadze’s work. He mentioned that she is one of the most distinguished sports journalists, who will make a special contribution to the promotion of Georgian sports and the Olympic movement.
SEOK Heads, leaders of the State University of Physical Education and Sports, veteran athletes, family members of Tamar Balavadze, media representatives, and other guests attended the presentation event. They also addressed the audience during the presentation, emphasizing Tamar Balavadze’s significant contributions to the establishment of a Georgian sports machine.
Tamar Balavadze expressed his warm gratitude towards the attending community for coming, She also talked about the meaningful part of the book and recalled the highlights of the champion-prize-winning women’s sports career.
