The administration of the Zestaponi Municipality has celebrated recently national theatre day of Georgia. The day is celebrated with collaboration of puppet theatre and participation of huge number of attendees.
The glimpses of this event were also shared on social media handles of the Municipality as well. The official Facebook page of Municipality stated, “Georgian Theatre Day celebrated by the Puppet Theatre with a premiere performance.”
At the same time, it was stated, “The Puppet Theatre located at the Centre for Culture and Creativity invited children to a premiere performance. The event was attended by the Mayor of the Municipality, Vasil Gvelesiani.”
Vasil Gvelesiani the Mayor of the Municipality while speaking on this occasion also congratulated the theatre representatives on their professional day. He wished them a successful and active year and presented them with a symbolic gift.
This is worth to note that the performance of the Puppet Theatre’s play “The Tale of Santa Claus” will continue until the end of January. The work of rehabilitation of the Puppet Theatre building was carried out last year. Funds for the improvement were allocated from the local budget of Municipality also.
The little kids on this occasion were accompanied by their parents or grandparents also. The artist plays many act and performance enjoyed by attendees. They laud the performances of the children and other artists which mesmerise the people visiting there.
The stage was beautifully decorated with lights and flowers also. The children take selfies with their parents and capture them as lifelong memories. On the other hand, stage artist thanked all visitors for their presence on this occasion as well. They have also urged them to promote Georgian art and culture and create awarenesses among other.
The Georgian National Theatre have taken many initiatives for promotion of the Georgia theatre art at world level as well.
