Tbilisi: The official of the Georgian youth agency has shared details of the activities it has conducted in current year of 2024. They also revealed the programs and project implemented by agency as well.
The agency while taking to it social media handles share this information as well. The official Facebook page of the agency shared glimpses of significant meeting. The official Facebook page stated, “In 2024, 10 youth organizations and 35 projects were funded within the framework of the grant competition. Up to 7,000 young people benefited from the services created.”
It agency underlined that, this year a large-scale youth festival was held under name “Studfest 2024”. As part of the festival, sports tournaments between universities, cultural and creative events, intermedia, volunteer activities and a STEM competition were held throughout Georgia. The festival has about 600 winners.”
At the same time Anaklia and Shaori youth camps, a thematic camp and a camp for Ukrainian youth were held. Moreover, agency in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence hosted army camp for 2,200 schoolchildren.
The official underlined that, “This year, up to 250 young people were employed as leaders in summer camps; 55 mentor-leaders were retrained. Up to 4,500 young people used the Youth Agency’s spaces free of charge. Also, 40 beneficiaries use the sports and recreation hall for people with disabilities located in the agency’s building.”
While speaking further it added that, “The Dmanisi Youth Canter was rehabilitated and equipped for activities. The centre, together with a partner organization, hosted two projects – “Discover Georgia – Dmanisi Municipality” and “Ideathon for the Development of the State”.
The agency also said that the project for youth was held with involvement of 300 young people were involved in the projects. Moreover within the framework of the grant competition, two youth spaces in the region were rehabilitated and equipped in Lanchkhuti and Ambrolauri.
The official said that more such welfare activities will continue in future. He said agency is committed for overall welfare of country’s youth.
