Tbilisi: The internal affairs ministry of Georgia responded to claims of PACE (Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe) report. PACE report alleged a violent incident outside a polling station.
It is worth to note PACE report mentioned that, In Sighnaghi district of Georgia a violent incident occurred at Bodbe polling station. It also alleged, almost forty people damaged their vehicle outside a polling station.
As per details of report all these forty persons have punctured their car. They later on rammed old cart into new car for giving it form of accident. The report underlined, forty people misbehaved with its steam. This was attacked to stopped them from recording facts of violence and use of illegal methods to influence public opinion.
While reacting to allegation PACE, ministry of internal affairs stated, an investigation has been ordered. The investigation aimed to identify accused and brought them to justice.
MIA revealed that after incident happen the driver of vehicle reported it to public safety control centre at number 112. The police party rushed immediately to spot for collection of evidence of crime.
The response of internal affairs ministry also made this clear that the as per statement of driver his car was hit by unidentified car. The driver of vehicle requested law enforcers to record incident.
Interestingly when official of ministry asked driver about any suspect, they driver express inability to say this was a deliberate damage. The ministry of internal affair expressed hope that all the responsible will be arrested soon as investigation is going on.
The law enforcement agencies are also working to make assessment of damage. The in-depth investigation will also ensure whether this incident was intentional or not. This fact will ensure the strict penalty for accused as well.
On the other hand, a report was also submitted by the OSCE/ODIHR. That report disclosed incident of pressure tactics to influence the public opinion. The MIA said the impartial inquiry will ensure exact identity of those who are responsible for any violent incident.
