Georgia: The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, David Songulashvili, officially introduced the new boss, Nino Utiashvili, to the employees of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency.
The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia shared the glimpses of the event on its official Facebook page on May 16, 2025. The Ministry also shared a small note along with the photographs.
The Agricultural Minister thanked the former head, Khatia Jikuridze, for his contribution to the Georgia’s Nuclear agency’s work and wished Nino Utiashvili a successful and fruitful career.
“Nino Utiashvili has quite a lot of experience in both administrative and international spheres. His professionalism will enable us to manage this important agency with new perspectives and more activities. Together, we can implement many successful projects. Important issues involved in the operations of this agency need special attention. I believe that the new leader will respond to the new challenges with dignity, – said David Songhulashvili.
Nino Utiashvili thanked the minister for his confidence and noted that the field of nuclear and radiation security is a high responsibility, where decisions taken require special care and professionalism.
Nino Utiashvili also thanked the minister for his confidence. According to him, this field is particularly specific and important, which increases his responsibility even more. His main task will be to continue with the existing team that has been successfully implemented so far. “I want our organization to be one of the exceptionally successful in the Ministry’s system”, Nino Utiashvili added.
Nino Utiashvili’s Experience
Nino Utiashvili has many years of experience working in the public sector. At various times, he held senior positions in the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Administration of the State Envoy in Kakheti, and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development. He has received a Master’s degree in International Relations from Odessa National University.
