Tbilisi: The Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth Giorgi Amilakhvar opened the International Conference 2024 of the National Center for the Development of the Quality Education. The participants of the meeting discussed the issues of higher education.
The Minister while opening the meeting addressed the attending community and focused on the achievements and measures that are required for improving the quality at all levels of education.
Notably within the framework of the annual international conference of the National Center for the Development of Quality of Education all the participants discussed the important issues of higher as well as professional, general and early and preschool education. They will also discuss the achievements and challenges in terms of quality assurance.
It is to be added further that on the very first day of the conference the participants discussed actual issues of higher education of Georgia and the region. The second day of the conference discussed the results of measures that were taken to improve the quality of general education.
At the same time on the final day of the conference included discussions on improvement of quality education at the professional and early and preschool education levels. The conference will further discuss important initiatives that have been implemented in 2023. It also discusses important activities planned by the National Center for the Development of the Quality of Education for 2024.
Meanwhile the analysis of the results of the first and second cycles of cluster accreditation of educational programs, important issues of field characteristics and development, and recognition of education abroad Specifications for determining the authenticity of area and local qualifications were also mentioned during discussion at the session.
First Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia Alexander Tsuladze, Deputy Ministers Nodar Papukashvili, Tamar Makharashvili, and Gela Geladze participated in the opening of the conference. The event was attended by schools, vocational and higher education institutions, and early and preschool education institutions.
It was also attended by representatives from partner local and international organizations, members of the Center’s Coordinating Board, members of the Accreditation, Authorization and Appeal Boards and experts, students, employers, and other stakeholders.
