Tbilisi, Georgia: Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth Giorgi Amilakhvari visited the 145th Public School of Tbilisi on the Day of Georgian Language and congratulated the students on the Mother Language Day.
On April 14, 2024, the Minister was at the 145th public school of Tbilisi, where he met the students, attended a beautiful performance by schoolchildren dedicated to Mother Language Day, and addressed the pupils, teachers, and the school community.
They wanted to celebrate this date with schoolchildren, congratulate the children once again on the Georgian Language Day and emphasize its importance.
He shared his belief in the students’ potential, saying,’I am confident that you, the young people, will continue to honor the heritage of our ancestors with dignity and will play a significant role in the development of the Georgian language with your knowledge and abilities.’
Giorgi Amilakhvari expressed his admiration for the students’ talents, stating that he had the privilege of meeting many gifted children. He emphasized his pride in the school’s distinguished young generation, whom he sees as the solid foundation of our country’s development.
He really wanted to celebrate April 14 with his students and tell them what he had to say. Their language is unique, distinctive, and integral to Georgian’s identity. This is why he always wants students to remember that they need special care and attention
At the end of his speech, the Minister expressed his gratitude to the 145th school team for organizing an event dedicated to Mother Language Day and gave books to the library as a gift.
