Georgia: The Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Giorgi Amilakhvar, and US Ambassador to Georgia, Robin Danigan, participated in the closing ceremony of the joint project of Construction College and the United States.

The event was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Alexander Tsuladze, the State Commissioner in Imereti, Zviad Shalamberidze, the Managing Partners of BK Holdings, Shota Berekashvili and Irakli Burdiladze, and representatives of the local municipality.

Giorgi Amilakhvar welcomed the public and stressed the importance of implementing large-scale educational projects and strengthening public-private partnerships in vocational education development.

The minister also focused on strengthening international cooperation and thanked the Embassy of the United States of America for supporting the development of education in Georgia.

Giorgi Amilakhvari said, “College “Constructor2″, together with the US Embassy, implemented an important project in which 280 students of public schools were involved.”

Activities within the project helped to increase and promote the awareness of vocational education among young people.

“I especially want to highlight that the female students involved in the project had the opportunity to try their hand in predominantly male professions. This will contribute to strengthening the role of women in various economic sectors, which is particularly important for human capital development,” the education minister added.

He also mentioned that “College “Construct2” is really one of the best examples of public-private partnership in Georgia, and here, I would like to thank “BK Holdings” for such a productive cooperation. Students get the highest quality education in the college. In addition, the graduate employment rate is 100%. ”

It is noteworthy that the project’s goal was to raise schoolchildren’s awareness of vocational education and increase female students’ involvement in various programs.

Two hundred eighty students from 13 schools of Zestafoni, Chiaturi, and Kharagauli were involved in the project and received comprehensive information from education leaders about vocational education opportunities within the framework of various cognitive activities.

In addition, during the project, female students had the chance to try their hand at professions such as plasterboard construction installation, painting, occupational safety and environmental technology.

Before the project closing event, guests visited the college “Construct2” infrastructure and got acquainted with the ongoing learning process in the practice space.

The college is located in Zestafoni and implements professional education programs in construction and short-term professional training programs.
