Tbilisi: Ilia Darchiashvili, the Foreign Minister of Georgia congregated the people of Hungary on National Day. He also expressed hope for strong bilateral relations in the future.
According to the official Facebook page of Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Georgian FM congratulated Hungary on National Day and wished for strong mutual relations.
The foreign Minister, during an official formal ceremony said that the strong mutual relationship between the two countries will benefit both nations. Moreover, both countries share multiple aspirations common between them.
Georgia’s foreign minister, Darchiashvili, commented on the importance of the day saying that this day is a great opportunity for the people of Hungary to celebrate the country’s rich heritage. FM stressed the significance of strategic partnerships between both countries. He refers to the treaty on strategic partnerships between Georgia and Hungary.
This treaty was executed in Budapest, the capital of Hungary in the year 2022. This was signed by the former Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili on behalf of Georgia. Whereas from Hungary’s side his counterpart Viktor Orbán signed this important document.
Georgian Minister also highlighted that we are thankful to Hungary for its unconditional support for Georgia in every situation. I would like to salute Hungary for its efforts in assuming the presidency of the Council of European Union. Â
The presidency of Hungary in this position will ensure peace, security, and prosperity for the creation of a strong Europe in the future as well. He also said that everyone in Georgia must express their gratitude for Hungary’s support.
The ministry official said that Georgia’s main objective is its integration into the European Union. We are all prepared to utilize the opportunities available in mutual relations between both countries.
Notably, Hungary, on October 23 every year celebrated the memory of the revolutions of 1956 and 1989. This revolution took place to restore the independence of the country as well.
Many events are held in Hungary to mark the day’s importance. At the same time, different government ministries also celebrate the day in their own ways.
