Tbilisi: Ilia Tsinamdrushvili College hosted a vocational education week. Georgian Minister Aleksandre Tsuladze attended the event along with many others.
As the event was opened by the Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, Aleksandre Tsuladze, he was accompanied by the Deputy Chairman of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Georgia.
At the same time, Baia Kvitsian and Irine Margishvili, the General Director of the Professional Skills Agency, were also present. It is worth noting that, within the week’s framework, presentations, workshops and panel discussions were held.
Similarly, an exhibition space was organized, where the parties shared best practices and discussed opportunities for future cooperation. The event’s speakers encouraged the importance of the practice of Georgian and international professional educational institutions working on joint projects and promoted the internationalization of professional education.
The Professional Skills Agency organized the event to promote the formation of partnerships at the international level for professional educational institutions.Representatives of Georgia’s public and private colleges and partner international professional educational institutions from 10 countries attended the week-long events.
These ten countries include Spain, Lithuania, Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Hungary, Poland, Greece, Turkey, and China, which take part in the International Professional Education Week.
Minister Aleksandre Tsuladze, underlining the importance of vocational education, said that students must acquire a professional education. He also added that job seekers face multiple problems without professional education due to tough competition in the Job market.
Often multinational companies with businesses in many countries of the world look for only candidates who have a well-acquired technical education. Surprisingly new advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, have made the competition harder.
Many educational universities, especially technical education institutions, provide students with world-class education. The Ministry of Higher Education is also implementing many plans to upgrade the level of technical education in the country.
At the end of the event the college officials thanked the participants and said such an event would be held in the future.
