Adjara: Open house days meeting are being held in schools to provide information on vocational education programs. So today’s latest meeting was held at the Adjara Education Fund and Kobuleti N1 Public School.
Students and their parents attended the meeting where representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and the Professional Skills Agency provided information on professional educational programs and the advantages of mastering professional skills.
The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Adjara Maya Khajishvili addressed the youth at the Adjara Education Foundation. Minister spoke about the importance of vocational education programs and called on the youth to be more involved to learn the new skills as well.
Notably all state agencies will be involved and will contribute to the successful implementation of this program. At the meeting the Mayor of Batumi, Archil Chikovani also welcomed the students and wished them success in the future.
This year the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia is offering professional education programs integrated with the national curriculum to young people interested in professional education for the first time. These programs will be implemented in 20 public schools selected for a pilot program throughout Georgia.
It is worth noting that the registration process in schools is underway simultaneously. The Ministry and the Professional Skills Agency hold information meetings in each school on the principle of an open-door day. The initiative gives 11th-grade students a unique opportunity in schools to learn new things under the new learning environment equipped with modern infrastructure.
Moreover based on practice to master a demanding profession in parallel with general education and receive both a certificate confirming complete general education and a diploma confirming professional qualification. After completing their studies the young people will have the opportunity to get a job in a profession or if they wish will continue their studies at the level of higher education.
