Batumi: Batumi city hall has announced on the direction of Georgia’s Ministry of Education, Science and Youth  that it will implement the Integrated professional educational program. The program will be implemented in general educational institutions to provide professional education.
It is worth noting that in the initial phase the program will be introduced in 20 selected public schools across the country. These 20 schools will also include the 10th public school in Batumi.
The initiative will further give 11th-grade students a unique opportunity in schools with a unique learning environment equipped with modern infrastructure based on practice to master a demanding profession in parallel with general education. The students will receive a certificate confirming complete general education after the class  and they will be eligible to get a diploma confirming professional qualification.
It is to be noted that after completing their studies, young people will have the opportunity to get a job as a skilled professional. This will also provide them with the option of further study if they wish to continue their studies at the level of higher education.
At the meeting the mayor of Batumi, Archil Chikovani and the Minister of Education, Culture, and Sports of Adjara  Maya Khajishvili  welcomed the students and wished them success. At the same time  the Mayor also spoke about the importance of professional educational programs in the present era of competition.
It is worth noting that in the present time of tough competition, companies having a multinational approach require well skilled labour. Many times students without the latest skills fail to get employment. The Georgian government launched many initiatives to upgrade the skills of youth and has introduced many courses across all regions that have the potential to prepare students to face present-day challenges as well.
The Batumi administration  on its part has also been working for a long time in this direction. The well-trained teachers are hired to provide skill-based education to students so that they do not face any problems for getting jobs in the market. The students can also visit foreign countries to avail of job opportunities as well.
