Georgia: A meeting with representatives of the National Agency of Public Register of the Ministry of Justice in the State Trustee Administration was held in Imereti.
The head of the Imereti Region shared glimpses of the meeting on its Official Facebook page on June 24, 2025, Tuesday. The details of the meeting were also shared along with photographs.
According to the details shared, it should be noted that Levan Zalkaliani, State Commissioner in Imereti, discussed the process of systematic land registration in the region and the challenges in the work process at the meeting. The Chairman of the agency David Devidze focused attention on the results of the reform and planned activities.
The field works of systematic land registration reform in the region are in the final phase, all villages in the administrative units will be measured step by step.
More than 1,800,000 plots of land have been measured in the country since 2022. Property rights have been registered on more than 1 300 000 land plots. To the government’s decision, the systemic land registration reform will continue until the end of 2025.
The working meeting was attended by Mamuka Khimshiashvili, mayor of all 12 municipalities and representatives of the agency.
Furthermore, it should be noted that the citizens who could not participate in the reform on time have the opportunity to go to the judiciary houses, local government institutions, or the SLR web portal. eg. gov. ge fill out the application for land measurement. Public Register planner groups will contact each citizen and provide appropriate services until the end of the reform.
