Jammu and Kashmir, INDIA: Since the G20 summit is scheduled to be held in Valley from May 22 to 24,2023 at Sheri Kashmir International Convention Center (SKICC), the preparations for the summit have picked up the pace.
The Cultural Academy is all decked up to kick off the summit celebrations in Kashmir. This is for the first time in history that Kashmir will be hosting the G20 Summit, which is anticipated to manifold rise in the influx of tourists in the valley, thus, a flourishing trade industry as well.
Meanwhile, the beautification of the city of Srinagar is being carried on as renovation and repairing of roads to ensure the smooth and fast transit of the guests arriving at the G20 summit. Additionally, the hoods are being installed along with other construction works in the valley.
The Tourism Department of Kashmir has shown active participation in the preparatory tasks, laying the foundation for essential arrangements to ensure that the summit becomes a memorable experience for the distinguished visitors.
Remarkably, the administration is also decorating the bunkers from outside, located from Srinagar Airport to Sheri Kashmir International Convention Center.
To ensure the safety of the visitors, the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir zone, Vijay Kumar, along with field officers, held a joint meeting to discuss and review the security arrangements for the summit.
As Kashmir Police informed, the officers have been instructed to ensure that the magistrates and police personnel are deployed at the right place to rule out any threat to the security of officials.
Notably, the G20 Summit is sure to provide international recognition to Jammu and Kashmir as one of the most picturesque tourist locations in the world.
Thus, it would provide a great impetus to the tourism industry of the valley, which forms the central part of Jammu and Kashmir’s economy.
