The Mayor of Khashuri Municipality of Georgia, Tengiz Chitiashvili met with officials to review the ongoing project to ensure a smooth water supply and proper drainage.
The Khashuri Municipality representative took to social media to inform the public. They also shared glimpses of the meeting on their official Facebook page.
According to the municipal’s official Facebook page, “The rehabilitation project of water supply and drainage systems is actively underway in Khashuri Municipality. At the same time, the company is repairing the damaged road infrastructure to provide world-class transportation infrastructure as well.”
The Mayor is very concerned about the development projects being executed by various companies and agencies in the municipal government. The primary purpose of these meetings is to expedite the whole process.
The Mayor of Khashuri municipality, Tengiz Chitiashvili held this critical meeting in the administrative building. At the same time the Mayor was accompanied by the Mayor’s assistant Merab Barbakadze, the head of infrastructure development and improvement service, Giorgi Papiashvili, the contractor of the United Water Supply Company of Georgia and the Turkish company that won the international tender.
It was mentioned at the meeting that immediately after the completion of the water project, the company would arrange the connection work at the Amar Mefi, Besik, and Saakadze streets. Also the implementation of the water project on Farnavazi Street is starting. About the imposed restrictions, the population will be additionally notified.
Under the street project, asphalting works are being completed on Dadiani and Kazbegi streets. This trend will continue and today the water supply and drainage systems in Khashuri are outdated which creates problems for the locals.
Mayor said, I learned that the city need water for several hours during the day. After completing the large-scale project, approximately 30,000 people of Khashuri will benefit from a 24-hour and orderly water supply infrastructure.
The “Water Supply and Drainage of the City of Khashuri” project is implemented with financial support from the French International Development Agency (AFD). The experts say this will solve the pending problem of proper water supply.
