Kutaisi: Kutaisi International University hosted a seminar on the theme “Youth and Global Opportunities”. It was held at the KIU campus with the help of the LEPL youth agency of Georgia.
The conference was received with great interest by students. The conference hall was packed with students. Many key speakers addressed the students and explained the number of opportunities in different fields. The Acting Head of the Youth Agency Vakhtang Baakashvili addressed the participants of the event and wished the youth success.
Vakhtang Baakashvili also spoke about the large-scale grant competitions that the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and the Youth Agency are supporting to provide students with maximum world-class exposure.
At the same time during this conference the speakers talked about global opportunities and challenges faced by the student community. Moreover they also focused on the importance of international education and shared their experiences of leadership and self-development with young people.
It is also worth noting that in addition to the Georgian speakers representatives of Oxford, American and Canadian Universities gave speeches at the conference. Levan Khetsuriani, head of the Georgian national office of Horizont Europe also spoke about current projects being implemented for overall development.
On this occasion more than 300 young people attended the international conference. The project “Youth and Global Opportunities” is one of the winners of the grant competition of the State Youth Agency “Supporting Regional Youth Initiatives” of Georgia.\
Experts also raised issues regarding the use of artificial intelligence in the education sector and expressed hopes that its positive use can bring about big change in the sector as well.
At the same time many students also got the opportunity to ask their questions to the experts. Most of the questions were related to opportunities in the international market. They also expressed the fear that the new tread of AI use will affect the job opportunity.
