The kutaisi International University (KIU) invited applications for english language course. This course is mainley for seniors who are planning to attend KIU and need English language training.The deadline for the applications is January 31,2024.
This is a Joint project of KIU and the British Council, and under the framework of the joint educational project of Kutaisi International University ( KIU) and the British Council, the reception of participants has begun.
The goal of the project is to increase access to higher education and to offer an English language course to seniors planning to enter KIU. English is a global language and also become the main language of communication at the international level. KIU want to make the seniors perfect in this language so that they do not face any problems at a later stage.
It is also worth mentioning that the educational project is being implemented for the third year in line. Since 2021, 44 students of the graduating classes have completed the English language preparatory course.
At the same time, after successfully completing the training course, the majority of the graduates showed the best results on the unified national exams, and 19 participants became students of Kutaisi International University for their higher studies.
Following are the details of the course:
The preparatory course in the English language will include 60 study hours for the participants, and the Meetings will be held four hours a week online.
The attendee will be provided with Study material of course. The objective will be to improve all the basic skills like writing, speaking, listening and reading. After the successful completion of the course, the certificate will be awarded by the British Council.
The final date for registration is January 31 and the entire course will be funded by the KIU(Kutaisi International University).
To participate in the competition and receive KIU funding, the applicant must be currently studying in the 11th or 12th grade, be a citizen of Georgia and meet one of the following criteria:
1. studies in general educational institutions in the territory affected by the conflict;
2. has a deceased parent/parents;
3. has a parent missing or dead as a result of the conflict;
4. is a severely / significantly / moderately disabled person;
5. is a member of a large family (with four or more children);
6. He is an orphan and lives in a state medical institution;
7. Registered as socially vulnerable families in the unified database, and the family rating score is equal to or less than 70,000.
