Giorgi Dokhturishvili, the state representative of Kvemo Kartli attended the presentation of projects to be implemented in Rustavi in 2025. This special presentation was presented to the people by the Mayor, Nino Latsabidze.
The event was attended by representatives of the executive and legislative authorities of Georgia, the delegate of the historical villages of Rustavi and Gardabani to the Parliament of Georgia Irakli Shatakishvili.
Similarly the First Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Faction “Georgian Dream” Irakli Kirtskhalia, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Regional Policy and Self-Government Irakli Kadagishvili, a member of the Committee on Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Aleksandre Dalakishvili, the Deputy State Representatives of Kvemo Kartli, Nika Kobakhidze and Ilia Jalaghania, members of the Rustavi Sakrebulo faction “Georgian Dream” and representatives of the business sector were also present on this occasion.
To more than 1,000 guests gathered at the new Rustavi Sports Palace, Nino Latsabidze introduced the infrastructure, social, youth, sports and cultural projects that are priorities of the 2025 budget.
The 2025 budget of Rustavi is set at total amount of 176,406,500 GEL. This year in Rustavi, the implementation of infrastructure projects worth 79,804,500 GEL will begin. Some of them will be completed in 2025 and transitional projects are also planned for the year as well.
The 2025 Action Plan prioritizes education promotion, cultural and youth projects, plans to create new sports infrastructure and will continue the reform of municipal services.
In first stage of the rehabilitation of Tbilisi and Meskhishvili streets is planned, within the framework of the rehabilitation of Old Rustavi, the restoration of Rustaveli Street will continue, the arrangement of internal district roads and spaces and the rehabilitation of dilapidated buildings will remain priorities.
At the same time a new youth centre and the Academy of Digital Technologies will be opened, the complete rehabilitation of the old House of Culture has already begun, where a modern music laboratory will be opened and a decades-long ecological project will begin, which envisages the restoration and development of the Rustavi floodplain forest.
