State trustee Giorgi Dokhturishvilia has opened a new recreational park in the Municipality. The park has been named after Hamlet Gonashvili, a star of the state academic ensemble of Georgian folk songs.
The State Academic Ensemble of Georgian Folk Song is one of the oldest ensembles in the country. It was founded in Rustavi in ​​1968, almost 55 years ago.
The renewed recreational space was named after the  Hamlet Gonashvili opened today by  Giorgi Dokhturishvili, along with the mayor of Rustavi  Nino Latsabidze.
At the same time, the Majority deputy of Rustavi in ​​the Parliament of Georgia, Irakli Shatakishvili, members of the “Rustavi” ensemble, guests and residents were also present at this new recreational park’s opening ceremony.
Other key figures who attended the event included Nika Kobakhidze, Deputy State Commissioner in Kvemo Kartli, members of the “Georgian Dream” faction of the Rustavi City Council, representatives of the “Rustavi” ensemble and other folk ensembles and family members of Anzor Erkomaishvili and Fridon Sulaberidze.
Considering the residents ‘ wishes, it is worth noting that Rustavi City Hall completed the renovation of the green space on the city’s central avenue in the shortest possible time.
The restored bust of Hamlet Gonashvili was returned to the main entrance of the rehabilitated recreational space and on the other side of the square, the authorities also erected a monument of Georgian dancing men and women, identical to the logo of the Rustavi choreographic competition-festival “Georgian.”
To make the event more memorable, the Georgian State Academic Folk Song and Dance Ensemble’s artists gave mesmerizing performances.
The choreographic ensemble “Salkhino” presented a specially staged performance. Nikoloz Tsulukidze chaired the event and welcomed the attendees.
The Mayor of Rustavi while speaking on the occasion  welcomed the attendees. She also thanked the state trustee and other officials for their esteemed presence.
The local residents of the area thanked the city administration. They extended their best wishes for more such welfare activities.
