Tbilisi, Georgia: Acting Director of the National Center for the Development of Quality Education Lasha Margishvili participated in the Erasmus+ National Strengthening Project—Promotion of Digital Higher Education in Georgia (PRODIGE), in the opening meeting hosted by Caucasus University.
PRODIGE project is focused on several main goals: supporting the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth in the development and reforms of digital education policy, establishing quality assurance mechanisms that will comply with European standards and strengthening the institutional capacity of Georgian universities through digital learning, learning and assessment In the process of putting a tick.
The event held within PRODIGE once again demonstrated our joint efforts towards improving digital education.
The next stages of the project will include specialized training and cooperation initiatives, which will be held in early 2025. These will contribute to significant changes in the higher education system in Georgia.
It is worth noting that the consortium is a member institution: Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia; National Center for the Development of Education Quality, Caucasus University, Tbilisi State University named after Ivane Javakhishvili, Ilia State University, Tbilisi State Medical University, Akaki Tsereteli State University, Akhaltsikha State University, Educational University – Batumi Maritime Academy, Zugdidi State Educational University, Telavi State University, Gori State University and various European universities and international organizations.
Erasmus+ National Strengthening Project – Promotion of Digital Higher Education in Georgia (PRODIGE)
The Erasmus+ National Strengthening Project – Promotion of Digital Higher Education in Georgia (PRODIGE) is a project that aims to strengthen the capacities of higher education institutions in Georgia to adopt digital teaching, learning, and assessment practices. The project is led by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and Caucasus University.
The project’s main goals include:
- Supporting the Ministry of Education and Science in reforming digital education policies
- Establishing quality assurance mechanisms for digital higher education
- Strengthening the capacity of higher education institutions in digital learning
The project’s components include:
- Online toolkit for teachers
- A toolkit to help teachers and school staff organize students’ mobility with a digital component
- E-platform for hosting families
- A platform for local families to register and signal their availability for hosting students
- E-learning course for teachers
- A course on how to set up learning activities for local students and teachers with a transnational component
The Erasmus+ program provides opportunities for organizations from eligible partner countries to promote cooperation in higher education.
