Georgia: The President of the Georgian National Olympic Committee Leri Khabelov met with the President of the European Cycling Federation Enrico della Casa on May 20, 2025, Tuesday. The meeting was organized by the National Olympic Committee of Georgia.
The Georgian National Olympic Committee (GNOC) shared glimpses of the meeting on its Official Facebook page. The GNOC also shared a small note along with the photographs.
According to the short note by GNOC, its should be noted that the meeting recalled the unique achievements of legendary cyclist Omar Pkhakadze, talked about the current state of cycling in Georgia, future prospects and support.
SEOK President Leri Khabelov expressed his warm gratitude towards the European Federation leaders for their visit. He provided information about the Olympic achievements of their sport and future events.
The President of the Georgian National Olympic Committee (GNOC) also noted that the National Olympic Committee actively cooperates with the National Cycling Federation of Georgia and contributes to the development of cycling in Georgia, which will continue in the future to improve on the international stage.
In his turn, Enrico Dela Casa also expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards the President of SEOC for his hospitality and for his active support of cycling in Georgia. He also thanked him for his willingness to cooperate. At the end of the meeting, guests visited the Olympic Museum.
