Georgia: The newly appointed Regional Director of the University of Francophonie Agency, Lor Casten is on a working visit to Georgia on January 31, 2025. During his visit, he met with the Georgian Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth Baia Kvitsiani.
The Deputy Education Minister of Georgia, Baia Kvitsiani hosted a working meeting with Lor Casten. The aim of the meeting was to improve French language teaching methods and promote French culture in Georgia.
Tamar Gharibashvili, representative of the Georgian Bureau of the Francophonie University Agency, and representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth also participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the projects implemented by the Francophonie University Agency in cooperation with partner countries and concentrated on the importance of promoting the internationalization of education.
At the meeting, Minister Baia Kvitsiani emphasized the importance of the French language and the importance of the activities of the Francophone University Agency (AUF) in Georgia.
Lor Casten expressed his willingness to deepen cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and invited the representatives of the Ministry to the General Assembly of Francophonie, which will be held in November.
The Conversation also touched upon the long-standing friendly relations, that the Francophonie University Agency (AUF) shares with Georgia. Their close relations are maintained through contacts at every level.
