Georgia: Within the festival’s framework, an exhibition of handmade models of modern ships- “Yalkan,” a symbol of maritime tradition and the works of Ayhan Ishik, a Turkish artist renowned for his maritime-themed art, is organized in Niko Nikoladze’s tower.
There was a show sailing of the Nichbos on the River Rioni and a performance depicting the life of a fisherman in Poti Municipality, inspired by the famous painting “Firosmani Fisherman in Poti.”
A mini walking tour was organized in the streets of Poti to explore the cultural heritage designed by European architect Edmund Frick.
From 17:30, Maltakvi Beach will come alive with a vibrant array of festival activities, promising a blend of artistic, creative, cognitive, and entertaining experiences. Get ready for masterclasses, exhibitions, interactive learning activities, performances, quizzes, and competitions.
The concert will be held at 19:00, and Katie Faresashvili and the band will participate. This marine festival will be full fun and joy.
From 20:30 to 21:00, everyone is encouraged to join the break dance and sports dance lessons on the sand. Then, from 21:30, they’ll host a public discussion on the sand panel ‘Secured Word.’ Seaside with Kotson, an interactive dialogue about culture and art, will wrap up the evening’s entertainment program, ensuring everyone feels actively part of the experience.
The EU-funded Marinist Festival EU4Culture is a four-year project that deeply values and supports cultural and creative sectors in Eastern Partnership countries, especially in settlements without capital status.
The project is implemented by Goethe Institute (Head), Czech Centers, Danish Cultural Institute, and French Institute of Georgia (Institut Français de Georgie).
