Mtskheti Municipality, Georgia: The rehabilitation works of internal roads are actively underway in the village Tsilkani refugee settlement, as the government of the municipality wishes to upgrade the road networks of the villages of Mtskheti Municipality.
The mayor of the Mtskheti Municipality, Dimitri Zurabishvili, inspected the ongoing works on January 31, 2025, and also talked to the locals, along with the along with deputies, Tamaz Polodashvili and Giorgi Bajadze, as well as the governor of Akhalgori, Gela Shermadin.
The municipality’s residents expressed their gratitude for the implementation of the project and thanked the mayor for making certain efforts to improve the roadway system of the region.Â
Within the project, up to two kilometers of asphalt pavement will be laid. Work has been carried out since last year and will continue this year.

The local citizens are glad to know that the roads of their region are developing as this will directly help in easy transportation of products and will benefit especially those who wish are willing to increase their small scale businesses.
The locals also expressed their views about the rehabilitation of the roads. They noted that after the completion of the works on the planned sections of the road, they will be able to move comfortably and conveniently.
Road rehabilitation is financed by funds allocated from the Regional Development Fund and the local budget, the contract value of which is 997 000 GEL. The works are carried out by the contractor company of Mtskheti City Hall.
She appreciated the workers involved in the rehabilitation works for their efforts in prioritizing the safety of the citizens of the village Tsilkani who are still working to make better road links in the regions.
The mayor also noted that the implementation of the project will improve the conditions of the people living in those regions. With the support of the Georgian government, similar works will be carried out throughout the whole year throughout the Mtskheti Municipality.
