A very significant meeting was held at Dmanisi municipality. The attendee of meeting discuses many issues related to climate change and environment protection as well.
The information in this regard was shard on social media handles of Dmanisi Municipality. The official Facebook page of Municipality stated, “Within the framework of the Black Sea Cooperation Project “Clean and Green minds for an environmentally friendly behaviour”, today, a meeting was held at the Dmanisi Municipality Hall with local government officials and employees.”
It is worth to mention that the meeting was held in question-answer mode and a conversation was about climate change and the threats and challenges to environmental protection.
The attendee said that awareness drive to protect climate change is very important. They also agreed to launch more awareness drives in all part across municipality as well.
At the same time, it was discussed how to enhance participation of youth in the drive against climatic threats. As youth can play against the environmental threat while being part of awareness drive, moreover they can also take part in such drive at regional and international level to share experience and learn news practice as well.
As we know the threat of climate change and global warming has caused many problems at national and international. The global warming is main reason of glaciers melting which posed huge threat to existence of many coastal countries.
Similarly, climate change also changes weather patterns almost in all the countries across the world. Some regions are suffering from floods whereas at the same time many other countries are under threat of droughts.
The attendees of meeting also expressed concerns about changed weather pattern in country also. According to some members at the meeting if immediate step not taken this can become serous problems in future.
The large area of Georgia is under cultivation as it is fertile agriculture land however if immediate step are not taken then this can reduce production capacity of land.
