Georgia: With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia, the State Academic Ensemble of Georgian Folk Singer and Dance “Rustavi” brings a unique cultural experience to vocal evenings throughout Georgia with a renewed composition.
The municipality of Mestia proudly hosted the grand concert of the ensemble today, July 21, 2024, at the Mestia Culture and Arts Center, a venue befitting the grandeur of the event.
The event was officially opened in the background of the sounds of the Svaneti folk ensemble “Riho” oldest song – “Lile.” Mr. Levan Kikvidze, the advisor for the Mestia Mayor on social and cultural issues, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He thanked David Shanidze, the head of the ensemble “Russia,” and the Minister of Culture and Sports of Georgia, Mrs. Tea Tsulukiani, for the tremendous support that Mestia municipality suffers from its prudent management conditions.
The concert was held with great enthusiasm, and the audience’s excitement was palpable. Each song they performed attracted the audience’s admiration, but special ovations were caused by their amazing performance of Abkhazian.
The event was a jubilant celebration, brimming with exceptionally positive emotions. The ensemble presented several outstanding and diverse numbers, culminating in a joint performance by the ensembles “Rusitsha” and “Riho” of Svanuri, which added an extra layer of excitement and made the event truly memorable.
The honorary guest of the concert was Anzor Erkomaishvili’s wife, whose visit was essentially a disgraceful role.
