Georgia: The Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia Aleksandre Tsuladze, together with Vani, Khoni, Samtredia and Tskaltubo Majoritarian MP, Givi Chichinadze, opened the first newly rehabilitated public school in Samtredia.
The minister inspected the school’s renewed infrastructure and congratulated teachers and students on starting to study in an educational environment that meets modern standards.
Alexandre Tsuladze: “I’m glad we have one more updated school with international standards, where many talented young people will continue to study.”
He mentioned,” At rehabilitated schools with modern tech, we offer our pupils even wider opportunities to expose their abilities, which I believe will help them with self-realisation.”
He added, “I sincerely congratulate teachers, students, and school staff for continuing education in the renovated building. “
According to the Minister, the construction and rehabilitation of schools throughout the country are ongoing, but together with a comfortable environment, the main task of the Ministry is methodological and programmatic development of schools, as well as the career growth of teachers and maintaining a safe environment in schools.
At the end of the meeting, Aleksandre Tsuladze awarded the teachers with symbolic gifts for many years of fruitful achievements and thanked them for their hard work.
The Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Gela Geladze; the Mayor of Samtrediya Municipality, David Bakhtadze; the Chairman of the City Council of Samtredija Municipality, Nugzar Jamburia; and the Head of the Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency, Irakli Kuprava were also present at Samtredia’s first school.
The first public school of Samtredia has 800 pupils, and the infrastructure project cost is more than 5 million Gel.
Along with learning spaces, the school features science and computer labs, sports and activity halls, a library, a canteen, a resource room, and a doctor’s office. It is fully adapted for people with disabilities, with lifts, sanitary knots, and ramps.
The school is also equipped with an outdoor sports field, and the building is fully equipped with all the appropriate educational resources and inventory.
