Adjara, Georgia: The summary event, organized by the Georgian Sports Department was held in Adjara, Batumi on February 3, Monday. At the event, the best sportsmen of the year 2024 were awarded.
The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Adjara Maia Khajishvili, attended the summary event together with Deputy Badri Nakashidze.
The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Adjara, Maia Khajishvili addressed the society attending the event with a welcome speech and personally congratulated the sportspersons for their successes in 2024.
She gave a speech at the event in which she noted, “It should be noted that the development of sports infrastructure is taking place in all municipalities of Adjara. It’s part of the government’s plan to create better conditions for our talented athletes, support young athletes, and host large-scale international events.”
At this impressive award distribution event, many officials and representatives of the best sports federating of the country were present also.
The event was held with the support of the Sports Department of Georgia. The winner of awards extended their gratitude towards the officials and sports federations for recognizing their success. They also recited their commitment to make their best efforts to make the country proud.
Within the framework of the event, a meeting was held in Adjara with leading athletes, coaches, representatives of sports federations, and sports journalists.
During the meeting, a presentation of the sports achievements of 2024 was also held. The action plan for 2025 was also considered. The members of the meeting discussed the upcoming opportunities under the action plan.
It should be noted that only 200 million Gel will be allocated from the Adjara budget for the next four years for sports infrastructure. In 2025, the Ministry’s budget for sports financing will exceed twenty million. It was also discussed during the meeting.
